Dr. Edwards was born in Petersburg and raised in Colonial Heights, graduating from Colonial Heights High School. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa in biology at Virginia Tech. He received his doctor of veterinary medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After a brief stay in Newport News, he returned to the Richmond area in 1996, where he has practiced ever since. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and anywhere near the ocean. He currently has a crazy rescue Pitty named China.
