Anne-Marie Burge, DVM

I was raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and developed a love for all creatures and the outdoors from an early age. After graduating from Maryville College with a BA in biology, I earned my DVM at University of Tennessee and began my veterinary practice with Banfield in Sacramento, California, in 2008. Called back to Tennessee, I worked with a local practice owner in Maryville for a number of years until starting a family with my best friend and husband. We rejoined Banfield in Portland, Oregon, in 2014. Three states and three children later, I am still grateful for a practice model and work-life balance that allows me to be my best in the clinic and at home with my kids. We have lived in Portland, Oregon, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and are now happily settled back in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where it all began. I have three beautiful and amazing daughters, aged 6 years, 3 years, and 8 months. My oldest has already decided she wants to work for Banfield as a veterinarian when she grows up, because she loves animals and all the wonderful people at my clinic.
