Dr. Piper attended veterinary school at the University of Florida and graduated with honors and two additional certifications. She started working for Banfield in sunny South Florida before transferring to the Tampa market to be closer to family. From a young age, Dr. Piper exhibited a passion for animals and has had Boston Terriers and horses for as long as she can remember. Before starting at Banfield, Dr. Piper worked closely with the AVMA on important bills advocating for animal health and well-being. She lobbied for the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, which was passed into federal law in 2019. She is also certified in fear-free medicine and is passionate about treating animals in the least intrusive way possible. Currently, she is enjoying her life building a farm in the country with her husband, two dogs, two horses, two donkeys, two goats, and three chickens.
