Amanda Aguiar, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Aguiar was born and raised in sunny South Florida and you may have even seen her as your veterinary assistant at Banfield as early as 2016. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Florida, Dr. Aguiar obtained her veterinary degree at Tuskegee University in 2023. Being a veterinarian has been her childhood dream, so beginning at a very young age she would volunteer at animal shelters and spent her vet school career volunteering in spay/neuter clinics in Puerto Rico and completing preceptorships in general practice and surgery all over Florida, Alabama and even Chicago. Her professional interests include internal medicine, preventative care, oncology and especially surgery. On her days off, Dr. Aguiar enjoys reading on the beach, watching movies, playing pickleball, football season at the Hard Rock Stadium (Go Canes! Don’t mind the UF degree) and spending time with her family and most importantly her 3 German Shepherd rescues – Riley, Calee and Keera and their tiny but mighty feline sister, Chevy. Dr. Aguiar is excited to be a part of our wonderful team and cannot wait to meet and care for your furry family members!
