Callista

Callista joined the Banfield Point Loma team for a Veterinary Assistant externship in 2019 after completing a program at PIMA Medical Institute. She asked for a job immediately after, and has been part of the family ever since! Her passion is surgery, but she finds joy in the small things - earning the trust of a nervous dog, or showing an owner how to apply flea and heartworm prevention on their new kitten. She is currently working on her Veterinary Technician Associate’s Degree online, and hopes to specialize in anesthesia or dentistry after earning her RVT license. She has three crazy cats at home who mean the world to her. Outside of work and school she enjoys reading and drawing, and if the sun is out you will likely find her taking advantage of our beautiful SoCal beaches!
