Claudia Portela-Calderon, DVM

Dr. Claudia Portela-Calderon has always been surrounded with all sorts of animals since her childhood. She attended Veterinary School at the University of Tolima in Colombia and graduated in 1999. She worked with Banfield for six years as a Veterinary Technician and then worked at the University of Florida for three years (first at the College of Veterinary Medicine in the Clinical Pathology department, and then in Animal Care Services where she worked in research). As a veterinarian, she feels responsible to keep studying and stay current in veterinary medicine as it changes and advances every day. She loves to serve people and animals and will always be at your service as a veterinarian.
