Elizabeth Herring, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Elizabeth Herring was raised in Michigan and was very active in 4H, where she showed horses, cattle, sheep, and pigs. She helped pay for tuition by training horses and working at the Standardbred race track. Dr. Herring attended Michigan State University for both undergrad and veterinary medicine. She was on the MSU sailing team and the Livestock Judging Team while there. After graduation, she went to Falls City, Nebraska, as an associate for two years before becoming a partner in their mixed-animal practice. Dr. Herring worked on dogs, cats, birds, cow/calf, equine, and elk. Her family showed cattle and horses on a national level for fun and she was a 4H leader. She raised her daughter there and after 28 years in Nebraska joined Banfield team in Overland Park. Now Dr. Herring travels to various places, rides her horse, works out, and runs with her dog.
