Heather Broughton, DVM

I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Mixed Animal Practice from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University in 2012. I also went on to obtain my PhD in Integrative Biology - Disease Ecology from Oregon State University in 2017. I have practiced medicine in some capacity since my graduation in 2012 and have focuses/experience in small animal medicine, wildlife disease management, shelter medicine, and clinical research. My major interests include helping owners prevent the risk of infectious diseases for their pets, as well as helping to inform wildlife and domestic animal infectious disease management on a larger scale. I also have a strong focus in small animal general medicine, with particular interest in managing diabetes in small animals due to my own personal experiences. Outside of work, I love spending time with my animals (three cats and one dog), traveling, and all nature of outdoor activity.
