Katia Estevez, DVM
Veterinarian
I was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. After graduating in 1998, I worked in Cuba for three years in LABIOFAM doing cell culture and vaccines. In 2001, I moved to Puerto Rico and worked as a vet tech while studying for the veterinarian board's ECFVG program, and completed a six-month study in large animals, and a six-month study in small animals. I worked with small animals exclusively for seven years, and also worked with non-human primates as an associated professor at the University of Puerto Rico. I moved to Miami in 2015 and worked with Animal Welfare of South Miami for four years, and started at Banfield last January.
