Dr. Cameron joined the Banfield practice in 2015 in California. In 2016, she transferred to the Gulf Coast and has recently become the Area Chief of Staff. Born and raised in Canada (and from a family of veterinarians), she knew from a young age that veterinary medicine was her calling. She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at The University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). From there, she went on to complete her DVM degree at St. George’s University, SVM (Grenada, WI). Prior to joining Banfield, Dr. Cameron completed an equine ambulatory internship in Lexington, Kentucky, which focused on thoroughbred reproduction and emergency medicine. This was followed by small animal emergency and preventive care relief work with her mentor/uncle (the great Dr. George Cameron!) in Montclair, New Jersey. Dr. Cameron is a long-time advocate for preventive care, and is continually inspired to help prolong our relationships with our beloved pets (big or small!) through the practice of high-quality preventive medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Cameron enjoys spending time with her fiancé, their two boys, four dogs, and two horses.
