Kerry Hawthorne, DVM

Dr. Kerry Hawthorne was born and raised in Convent, LA, which is located in St. James Parish. She attended Louisiana State University as an undergraduate and completed a Bachelors of Animal Science in 2009 while starting veterinary school. Dr. Hawthorne graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine as a member of the Class of 2012. After graduation, Dr. Hawthorne began practicing at Banfield Pet Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. In 2013, she moved back to Louisiana and began practicing at Banfield in South Baton Rouge. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Vice President of the Baton Rouge American Veterinary Medical Association (BRAVMA). Dr. Hawthorne has special interests in dermatology and internal medicine and enjoys educating owners about preventative care and taking time to explain to owners their pet's health and answer any questions. Outside of work, she enjoys going to concerts and listening to music, as well as working out and going to local events.
