Melinda Connelly, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Connelly grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina, and attended UNC-Chapel Hill, receiving her BS in chemistry and a minor in music history. She attended Ross University for veterinary school and completed her clinical rotations at North Carolina State University. She graduated veterinary school in 2006 and moved up to Chesapeake, Virginia, where she worked at the Chesapeake Center Banfield. After starting a family, Dr. Connelly and her family decided to make the move back home to the Charlotte area. She loves building relationships with her hospital teammates and with pet parents and their furry companions. Dr. Connelly and her husband live in Mt. Holly with their four children, Nicholas, Gabriel, Chelsea, and Cameron, along with Pixel, the goofy Goldendoodle; Dory, the very tolerant and often misplaced cat; Gertie, the goffin cockatoo; and Daisy, the parrotlet. In her free time, Dr. Connelly likes to cross-stitch, watch Disney movies, and read.
