Dr. Maria Ramirez Gorton joined the Banfield team in 2010. She attended Kansas State University and graduated in 2006 with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gorton enjoys working for Banfield as Chief of Staff and has interests in mentorship, leadership development, and internal medicine. Dr. Gorton has several pets: 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 potbellied pig, 6 birds, chickens, and fish. In her free time, she enjoys running, gardening, and travel volunteer work. Dr. Gorton passionately believes in Banfield’s mission — creating a better world for pets — through the utilization of all of the available resources in a sustainable way to ensure all pets have access to quality medical care.
