Sabra Lucas, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Lucas graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, and completed her clinical training at the University of Tennessee School of Veterinary Medicine. After receiving her veterinary degree, she practiced with several small-animal hospitals prior to coming to work for Banfield. She has experience with laser surgery, cold-laser therapy, hydrotherapy, and cryotherapy, but her passion lies in the special interest of dermatology and geriatric medicine. Her passions include dermatology, wellness care (especially new puppies and kittens), oncology, and geriatric medicine. Dr. Lucas has three rescue dogs: Carolina, a vibrant Lab mix who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma; Zac, an extremely intelligent 6-year-old Rottweiler/Husky mix; and Doc, a foster failure, who is still trying to work through the issues of his previous life. In her free time, Dr. Lucas enjoys donating her time to Save A Lab and Southside SPCA (both pet rescue organizations). She also enjoys reading and painting whenever she can.
