Stacy Garves, DVM
Veterinarian
I have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in western Wisconsin, with exposure to a variety of animals including cattle, horses, pigs, dogs, and cats. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a biomedical concentration and chemistry minor from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I then went on to receive my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Becoming a veterinarian is the perfect way to combine my love of animals with my strong interest in science and medicine. I have practiced equine as well as mixed animal medicine in various locations throughout the Midwest; and have been practicing small animal medicine exclusively for almost 10 years. My professional interests include proactive preventative and wellness care, routine dentistry and surgery, Internal Medicine, and ophthalmology. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, horseback riding, and helping on my parents’ farm. I have had cats as pets for most of my life.
