Terri Jarratt, LVT

Credentialed Veterinary Technician

My name is Terri Jarratt and I am a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) in Virgina and registered veterinary technician (RVT) in North Carolina. I am originally from Asheville, North Carolina, but grew up mostly in Virginia. I currently live in Southeastern Virginia (Sussex County) with my husband and many animals. I graduated from St. Petersburg College in 1999 with an associate in applied science (veterinary technology) and obtained my BA in professional studies with concentration on information technology from Regent University in May 2020. I am currently pursuing my master of education from Regent University with plans to graduate late 2021 for teaching purposes. Working in the veterinary field for 29 years has given me much experience, especially in emergency and specialty medicine and emergency management. Since 2017, I have been with Banfield working as an LVT assisting with surgeries, performing dentals, and LVT appointments. Taking an active part in teaching assistants and newer LVT’s various skills as well as client education on wellness and preventive medicine are a few of my enjoyments in this field. My hobbies include computer science, digital media, audio and video projects, cooking, being self-sustainable, and traveling. I also groom pets and operate the grooming business from my home. My faith is a large part of my life, which is what inspires me to be the best I can be in whatever I do.
