Women's History Month at Banfield

celebrating Women’s History Month

Banfield is committed to ensuring that our workforce reflects the communities we serve and creating an inclusive workplace for everyone. This includes celebrating and lifting up women at Banfield.

One of the ways we do this is through our diversity resource group, Women of Banfield, whose mission statement is “Amplify our impact through relationships with each other, our clients, our allies, and our community, and developing women leaders now and for the future. We rise by lifting others!”

For Women’s History Month this year, our theme is Embracing Equity, and Women of Banfield is hosting a slew of events to support women in the veterinary industry. The group has also featured on their Instagram women at Banfield who have made an impact—women such as Carolyn Moore, a practice manager in Washington, Pennsylvania.

“I have been on my veterinary journey for many years now and have had many managers along the way. But since joining Banfield, I have been more empowered by my current circle of women leaders than I've ever experienced before. They recognized my value and work ethic and have coached me to grow as a leader to others. Because of their investment, I've been able to cascade this type of leadership within my hospitals and show others what it is like to be a part of a great leadership team within our market and company. I am truly blessed to be a part of an amazing group of leaders, DRGs, and a company that values the voices of their people.”

Another way Banfield works to lift women is by sponsoring the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative. This remarkable nonprofit supports women and allies seeking leadership positions by providing professional development and educational content, developing student leaders, and engaging in social media discussion.

We’re proud to support their mission, and we look forward to supporting all women in the veterinary industry for years to come.
